as one can guess from the name, PortableApps are portable applications... and being portable means you can carry them around with you... on what you ask? your USB memory key / stick, thumb drive, what ever you choose to call it!

for those tech folk who use Firefox for web browsing, Thunderbird for email or perhaps Sunbird as a calender (http://www.mozilla.org/) you can now get some portable versions of these to install on your USB key and run them from your usb key!!!

imagine walking up to almost any computer on the face of the earth, inserting the usb key and there is YOUR email client, YOUR browser with all your contacts and YOUR calender!
