if you have an iPhone you can test out how web pages will be displayed using this iPhone simulator... when running it download Safari (there is a link on the site) as the iPhone uses Safari to view web pages and you will get more realistic results!
7月11日 F-Secure creates a graphical malware diagnostic toolthe company F-Secure has created a graphical tool for diagnosing exactly where malware has attacked a system...
it does this by comparing an image of a clean system to an image of your system showing, graphically, exactly where the malware has embedded itself and where it is attacking.
pretty damn cool if you ask me! i want one! as a side note, F-Secure also make the virus software that Optus bundles together and is offering free for 1 year to it's customers! Sony drops PS3 price ONLY IN AMERICA!!!news has it that Sony are dropping the price of the Playstation 3 by $100 US dollars... ONLY IN THE US !!!! now would be a good time for Sony to take advantage of the Xbox 360 dilemma... good to see Microsoft thinks of the WORLD when it extended it's warranty to 3 years on the 360 Sony should take a leaf out of Microsoft's book! it's Microsoft for me! 7月6日 NASA on Twitter or Facebook?due to a dwindling interest in NASA from the general public NASA is considering using sites such as Facebook and Twitter to promote an interest in science and space exploration. they have apparently already got themselves some "space" (ok, bad joke) set aside in Second Life! Xbox 360... is it a failure?believe it or not the Xbox 360 has a failure rate of approx. 30% !
this could partially be due to an overheating problem due to all the "tech" squeezed inside that god damn sexy box!
i can't understand why as the original xbox was and still is a mad unit and certainly kicks ass in it's online connectivity so what went wrong with the 360?
Microsoft ill be extended the warranty of the 360 to 3 years due to the extent of the problems... it's a shame but it's also a good "gesture" on their behalf
**if you have had any problems with your 360 drop me a line so i can blog about them** 7月2日 converting basic and dynamic disks in Windows XPthis article was taken from the Microsoft site from Knowledge Base article 309044 "This article describes how to convert a basic disk to a dynamic disk, and how to change a dynamic disk back to a basic disk by using the Disk Management snap-in in Windows XP Professional. Windows XP Professional supports two types of disk storage: basic and dynamic. Basic disk storage uses partition-oriented disks. A basic disk contains basic volumes (primary partitions, extended partitions, and logical drives). Dynamic disk storage uses volume-oriented disks, and includes features that basic disks do not, such as the ability to create volumes that span multiple disks (spanned and striped volumes). General NotesBefore you change a basic disk to a dynamic disk, note these items:

Microsoft to offer online storage!Microsoft plans to give users 500MB free online storage in a new "product" called Windows Live Folders later this year in response to it's growing competition from Google and Yahoo... laptop battery life tip!did you know that on most laptops you don't actually need the laptop battery in for it to run off mains power? sure, you can have your battery in when you are charging it but by doing this you will overcharge your battery which isn't too good! to save your battery and extend it's life it is best to actually remove the battery when you have fully charged it as the battery can overheat and sometimes actually expand and contract as it heats and cools, causing more damage to the battery! 6月25日 Japanese use brain power to move a trainJapanese scientists from Hitachi have developed a "cap" which reads the wearers brain activity, which then in turn controls a toy train and moves it around a track. The cap measureas the flow of blood in the brain and translates this via computer to make the train move! up there for thnking mate! 6月24日 Hew Raymond Griffiths - Aussie net pirate jailed!Australian net pirate Hew Raymond Griffiths was extradited to the US and given 4 years jail for software piracy and distribution worth more than $59.11 million http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,21985,21956733-11869,00.html Manhunt 2 game release delayyou gamers out there have probably heard of the game Manhunt 2 by now... and you've also probably heard that it is currently banned in several countries... people may say it's only a game but after looking at the site and reading the game synopsis i personally reckon that it SHOULD be banned or at least modified to remove the violent "overtones" depicted in the game... this is something i wouldn't personally play and felt more "uneasy" after reading about the game on the site and what it's all about... even looking at the screen shots made me feel uneasy... take a look and let me know what you think! Safari browser does display better colours!the Safari web browser does display better colours but Firefox is only a few steps behind in the new "colour war" and will be releasing it's Firefox 3 beta in July to improve the colours of images in it's own browser. it has been said that Apple made the trip across to Windows in order to get more developers onboard to support it's Safari browser, reason being that the iPhone obviously uses Safari and needs more web pages to be compatible with it... BUT rumour has it that another reason is the revenue they get from Google for each search that is done through Safari using the Google search in the top right corner of the browser! i personally find Safari to be a bit "buggy" at the moment but remember, it is a beta! i think it DOES run quicker than Firefox (and of course, IE 7 is the slowest) 6月19日 John Howard promises broadband to 99% of Australia by 2009The Federal Government is planning to spend $2 billion on high speed broadband for Australians by 2009 but it looks like the poor buggers in the country will have to rely on wireless Judge says Optus is better !"TELSTRA has received the second setback in two days in its growing range of court battles, when a Federal Court judge said that Optus provided better value on a mobile phone service." http://australianit.news.com.au/articles/0,7204,21739529%5E15320%5E%5... |
